Skoda Minotti, a CPA, business and financial advisory firm, is pleased to announce a partnership with educational and micro-finance organization, Bad Girl Ventures (BGV). The partnership helps provide teaching and one-on-one coaching assistance for aspiring business owners and entrepreneurs in the Cleveland and Akron areas.
The Bad Girls’ nine-week fall session started in September, and has been meeting regularly at the University of Akron, Lakewood. Teaming with several local businesses and professionals, BGV offers a variety of topics, ranging from accounting to legal to marketing. Skoda Minotti professionals provide assistance in the areas of accounting, information technology and marketing.
In addition to the educational aspect of the program, BGV provides loans of up to $25,000 to businesses that meet several requirements. Some of these requirements include: majority women-owned, and in business for five years or less.
“We are excited to partner with Bad Girl Ventures and help local entrepreneurs get their businesses off the ground,” said Deb Herr, managing director of Skoda Minotti’s Small Business Services group. “This is a unique opportunity that allows us to share our experiences with developing businesses and local entrepreneurs in our community, which is something we truly enjoy doing.”
