Ted is a Principal with over 25 years of experience in compensation and employee benefit programs. His practice focuses on executive compensation consulting for both publicly-traded and privately-held employers (including employment agreements, non-qualified deferred compensation plans, change-of-control programs), sales compensation program consulting, equity program consulting, tax qualified retirement program design and administration and welfare plan consulting (including Affordable Care Act compliance and consulting).
Ted has served as an advisor to the board of directors of various companies on executive compensation matters and has assisted numerous companies in becoming publicly traded. Also, Ted has provided services to clients in various industries.
Ted is an active public speaker (speaking before such groups as the Cleveland Bar Association, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Illinois Bar Association, the Financial Managers Society, the Construction Management Association, the Global Equity Organization, the Community Bankers Association of Ohio and the Tax Executive’s Institute) and has published articles in periodicals such as Smart Business, MX Magazine and Tax Advisor.
Areas of Expertise
Ted is involved in the design, administration and problem resolution for tax qualified retirement programs (including 401(k) and cash balance plans). He assists in mergers and acquisitions, providing potential acquirers with due diligence services relating to retirement, welfare and executive compensation programs, and providing potential sellers with consulting regarding executive payments as a result of the transaction, including golden parachute excise tax analysis.
